It was snowing
- unexpectedly -
this morning as I got ready to
leave for the gym.
It snowed most of the day.
I ran errands in the snow.
Found some bargains
shoveled the driveway
checked the mail
brought in garbage cans
made granola
did laundry
brought in firewood
created new Pinterest boards
put away the Christmas dishes
surfed for beret patterns
shuffled stuff for the new shelves
and a surprising number of
other things
while it snowed.

A beret pattern?
I'd like to knit, or crochet, myself a beret. I made several scarves for Christmas presents and like having handwork to pick up in the evening...
I was thinking there was perhaps a subtle message being sent....
subtle indeed - you must have your antennae set on high...
No, I simply like the sound of beret rather than tam or beanie. A hat is all I'm looking for.
Such a full day -- and in that context all the activities (even the snow-shovelling?) seem pleasurable, no?
